Brew Technology

  • Brewing with the Driplite

We recommend using freshly ground beans, slightly finer than granulated sugar, or pre-ground beans for brew-coffee. Use a Melitta size 100 or Hario size 01 filter, other filters may work but can be tricky to use.

For a balanced cup, we suggest 15g of coffee and 250g/ml of water just off the boil. Pour the water slowly in a spiral motion to evenly saturate the coffee bed, wait for 30 seconds, then pour the rest of the water continuously and evenly keeping the dripper almost full until your cup is filled.

  • Omnidirectional blooming

The open design of the Driplite allows CO₂ to escape freely during the blooming phase.

  • Balanced flow

With a higher hole density towards the bottom of the dripper, we achieve a balanced flow that works with a wide range of water temperatures.

  • 45 Degree elliptic cone

A low-angle cone ensures even flow and a modest pressure buildup. At just 0.25mm thick, the brewer has minimal heat capacity, so it retains the water’s heat for optimal extraction.

  • Production & Material

All our coffee brewers are manufactured in Sweden using photoetching. We use high-quality 0.25mm European stainless steel. This ensures excellent corrosion and scratch resistance, optimal spring tension and a refined surface quality.
